…is a plan.
Think about it. When your weekend is full of activity and fun things to do, you have a great weekend.
You feel alive and you feel like you have done stuff and achieved when you go back to work on Monday.
When you don’t plan to do things on your weekend, you end up wasting a whole lot of time. As an entrepreneur you may think you need to catch up on rest, but most of us know that when we lay about most of the weekend, we end up going back to work the following week with less energy, feeling empty and more than likely you will have the Monday blues.
I finished last week utterly exhausted. All I wanted to really do was have the weekend off and rest. Instead, I had a wedding to go to on Friday night, then a weekend at the coast full of meeting new people and also competing in the Noosa Triathlon. I really didn’t want to do any of this. But it was planned in and I did it.
I finished the weekend feeling amazing. I met a number of great people, got some good relaxation time in at the beach and had a healthy day exercising and being around healthy people during the triathlon. I went back to work on Monday feeling fully refreshed and ready for a new week.
It really did teach me a valuable lesson, that you are much better off planning to do things on your weekends, than to not plan things (even though we sometimes don’t want to do this).
This principle can also be applied to your business.
- The difference between a good business and a bad business is a plan
- The difference between a good year and a bad year is a plan
- The difference between a good week and a bad week is a plan
- The difference between a good day and a bad day is a plan
So plan everything you do. Not only will you achieve more, you will also live a more fulfilled and happy life.
