In other words, everything that you have created in your life and your business is a result of what you have done in the past.  Sadly this activity won’t be enough to get you to where you want to go.

The dynamics of business has changed so much over the past 10 years.  I don’t have to tell you how fast technology has taken off.  For many people in business, it’s vital that you increase your skills to keep up with the market place.  If you don’t keep learning and growing then you could miss out on opportunities to grow.

For example, if you are not using outsource companies like Odesk (http://www.odesk.com/w/odesk_story) then you are missing out on one of the greatest opportunities to expand your business.  Did you know that you can employ people through Odesk for under $2 per hour?  This is less than $20 per day.  When I learned of this, I didn’t believe it. But it’s true.  You can have someone building your prospect list, doing your invoicing, chasing debtors – all for a few dollars.  Of course this is going to have a big impact on your bottom line.

So my advice this week to anyone in running a business is to stop and ask this question.  “Taken into consideration what I have done to get me to where I am today, what do I need to do differently to take me to my next milestone”
